Eddie Thoneick

Eddie Thoneick Bio

The name Eddie Thoneick is synonymous with slamming, high octane house music

Eddie’s booming beats, tight programming and highly charged musical arrangements manage to deliver on both the dance-floor and commercial radio station alike.

Eddie started his DJ career at the Tribehouse in Neuss in 1993, an exciting time in Germany for house music in the five years of 93 to 98. In 1998 Eddie became resident DJ at the Decadance Penthouse Club (DPC) and the Flamingo Club in Germany, which had the best international reputation a German club could have. National and international acts like Armand van Helden, Felix the Housecat, Jimmy Summerville, Erick Morillo, George Morel, Mike Dunn, Harry Romero, Roger Sanchez and Barbara Tucker made regular appearances at these two clubs.

Eddie is well known for his special DJ performances working with three Pioneer cdj 1000 and two Effect-units at the same time. His sets seem more like a live performance working with loops, acapellas and special edits which are perfectly combined. Eddie has worked closely with DJ Antoine, a world famous DJ and Head of Egoiste Records and Houseworks, as well as that he started to work as a remixer for some of the best known house acts like Junior Jack and Kid Creme, Peter Presta, Tom Neville, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso. The tracks appear on the Egoiste and Houseworks labels such as Release The Tension (2005).

In 2005 a partnership was formed with Duesseldorf’s very own Thimo Seidel, label owner of hip underground vinyl distributor Opaque Music (since turned hip digital download distributor Deejaytunes.com) and the UK’s licensing impresario Giles Goodman, boss of Dynamik Music. Eddie’s own productions and several of his remixes were released on Opaque Music, Soul Avengerz and Red Hot Dutch.

Finally in 2006 came the big breakthrough when Eddie, in collaboration with Kurd Maverick, released the smash hit Love Sensation, with two mixes from Eddie and one from Kurd Maverick. The Eddie Thoneick Sensation Mix generated a huge wave of support from Bob Sinclar, Angello & Ingrosso, Axwell, Morillo, Roger Sanchez, David Guetta, Robbie Rivera and Stonebridge, including Pete Tong, Judge Jules and Dave Pearce. Love Sensation was one of the “must have” hot tunes of 2006 released on Kontor Records.

In October 2006 Eddie Thoneick appeared once more with another slamming tune
covering the classic Deeper Love by C+C released on Oxyd Records. Together with the Dutch vocalist Berget Lewis he conjured up yet another ear-catcher, and once again received big support from Morillo, Bob Sinclar, Axwell, Roger Sanchez, Pete Tong and many more.

In the following years Eddie has remained productive releasing many singles including Forgiveness (2007) featuring Berget Lewis, I Wanna Freak U (2008) and Nothing Better (2010) featuring Erick Morillo and Shena, all receiving ravishing reviews. In 2011 he participated in the singles Live Your Life (Part Four) and Stronger together with Erick Morillo and Shawnee Taylor proving Eddie Thoneick is a wanted man.
